- Alumni return to campus October 3-5 for the 78th Annual Homecoming Weekend. Clair "Biff" Adam '54 receives the first W. Purnell Payne Lifetime Achievement Award for Musical & Vocal Performing Arts.
- On October 3, the MHS Admissions staff hosts 100 Lancaster County school and community service professionals at the Clipper Magazine Stadium for a Community Professionals' Appreciation Day. The event offers information about MHS and includes a human services expo where professionals can learn about programs offered to children and families in Lancaster County.
- More than 600 attendees and speakers participate in the Women Leading Women Conference on the MHS campus. The full day of workshops relevant to women in the workplace is a joint effort among The Hershey Company, The Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Milton Hershey School, and Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. Maj. Gen. Jessica Wright, adjutant general of the Pennsylvania National Guard, is the keynote speaker.
