  • About a dozen MHS students show goats, cows, and sheep at the PA State Farm Show, held January 10-17 in Harrisburg. Ten students earn first-place prizes in the agriculture competition.
  • The Hershey Story opens its doors on January 9. This $23.5 million-dollar museum, dedicated to Milton S. Hershey, portrays his rise as a chocolatier and offers behind-the-scenes glimpses of his personal life. The 45,100-square-foot structure contains five theme areas including one that focuses on his legacy and features an exhibit about Milton Hershey School.
  • Presidential Search Stakeholder Forums are held on campus January 12 and 13 to allow the MHS community to offer input into the search for a new MHS president.
  • The MHS community honors the life and legacy of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. with special events celebrating his birthday. At an assembly to kick off the day, Senior Christina Santoro is announced as the year's Spartan Diversity Award winner.
