I first became aware of Milton Hershey School (MHS) a few years ago when a letter from the School crossed my desk. It all sounded very interesting, and I had lots of questions about what the School had to offer. But I had no idea how involved I would become in the School, both professionally and personally.

As I learned more about the School, I began to introduce MHS to families who I knew were struggling within our school district. Now, I'm proud to say that more than 10 students from our area have been accepted and are now enrolled in the School.

"It's great to know that I can offer the opportunities at MHS to another family, knowing what it's done for mine."

But the connection didn't stop in my professional life. My nephew enrolled four years ago and is now a successful junior, looking toward a bright future. When my own family was in need, MHS was there. Milton Hershey is my new hero in life - the benefit of what he has done has spread throughout society. I'll do whatever it takes to help families learn more about the School. In fact, as a professional working with children and an MHS family member, I become aware of something more wonderful every time I visit the School.
